If you have read into this blog you are likely wondering who is the person behind all of this real estate talk? Why should I trust his opinions and articles? The Small Time Investor was born and raised in the heart of Illinois. Coming from humble upbringing, his family was not vested in real estate nor was a path paved out for him to learn. The old, "if it ain't broke don't fix it" method often played a huge role, but then again so did the, "if it's broke, you better figure it out in a hurry" method played a large role as well.
Starting his first Internet company as a Junior in High School and then buying his first online business at the ripe old age of 19, taught him the value of dollar and paved the way for his real estate investing path. The small time investor bought his first property 2 days before his 21st birthday (old enough to buy property, but not yet old enough to drink... legally).
He went on to buy several multifamily properties and is continuing to search and buy the "elusive cash flowing" properties that are so sought after to this. He contributes his knowledge and success to a little bit of luck and a whole lot of reading and most importantly experiences and relationships he has gained along the way.
